The aim of the ministry training fund is to financially support those who are taking the significant step of forgoing their normal employment in order to undertake training for ministry. The principle behind the fund is, ‘the worker deserves his wages’ (1 Tim 5:18). If people are forgoing other paid employment to do ministry, they should receive support from the people to whom they minister.
