We welcome kids from other schools as they arrive at the church grounds from 3.15pm onwards. It has been great to see kids coming from a range of different local schools over the past few years, and we encourage friendships between different schools

What are we teaching?

At Kids Club, we hope to share the truth and love of the good news of Jesus Christ by discussing the Bible with the kids. During Bible-Time, there may be a skit, talk or object lesson followed by reading the Bible together in small groups and talking about what it means. Parents are always welcome to come and observe or participate in any part of Kids Club, including this discussion time.

Communication

The leaders at Kids Club are always happy to talk and answer questions about what we believe or what we are doing. We also email out information about special events and parent reminders to pack necessary extras for the week’s activities (such as paint shirts, or clothes that can get wet). Occasionally, you may be contacted with invitations and information about other NEAC events via email.

What about food?

We provide afternoon tea during Kids Club. There are usually a few options for the kids to choose from such as fruit, popcorn, rice crackers, and ice blocks. We also try to provide gluten free options. Please advise one of the leaders if your child has any allergies about how we can accommodate their dietary needs.

The leaders and child safety

All the leaders of Kids Club have completed Safe Ministry training in compliance with standards set by the Anglican Diocese of Sydney.

We follow these basic guidelines to ensure the kids at Kids Club are safe:
1. Kids are not allowed to go outside the fence unless a parent or guardian has signed them out. The grassed area is fenced.
2. Kids are never alone with any adult. Leaders are always within sight and/or earshot of other leaders. Most activities are done as part of a big  group or small groups of no less than three kids.
3. Kids are not to leave the group without first telling a leader.
4. Activities are planned with careful thought and consideration of the allergies and abilities of the kids that come. We are always happy to discuss particular events with parents to ensure safety.

Privacy

We collect basic personal information from parents via the registration form. This information is not shared with anyone beyond the leadership team and staff of NEAC. It is used to ensure the safety of all the children, particularly in regard to allergies. It also allows us to contact the Parent or Guardian if there is an accident or injury.

Photos

We regularly take photos and sometimes short videos of Kids Club games and activities. These are mainly used for Kids Club activities or events, such as a photo slideshow at the end of term. Photos may also be used in advertising for church events or regular church newsletters or on the website (without names). Please inform us if you do not wish your child to be included in photographs in one or any of these contexts. Your permission can be given or withheld on the registration form.

Money

At present, Kids Club costs $3 each week per child, or $6 each week per family. This helps cover the cost of supplies for crafts, activities and other materials. You may send this with your child week by week or you can transfer directly for the whole term ($27-$30) using the details below.
