Community Initiatives

  • Junior JiversJUNIOR JIVERS
    Junior Jivers is a half hour music and movement group for children under five, meeting every Monday during public school terms in the Erskineville Anglican Church building.
  • kids' club
    Kids' Club is an after school club for kids within our local community from Kindergarten to Year 5, Fridays at Newtown.
  • graveyard youth
    Graveyard youth is for students in Year 6-8 and meets Fridays at Newtown
  • The Bike Shedbike shed
    Community bike repairs and bike donations for asylum seekers - open every Saturday 11am-2pm under the fig tree at Newtown Church.
  • Cottage Community Gardencommunity garden 
    A community garden to enjoy or potter in - runs every Saturday 11am - 2pm. Behind cottage at Newtown Church.
  • We BELONG
    A Friday night program for intellectually disabled adults. Runs fortnightly at Newtown Hall.
  • Room for Manyroom for many
    Room for Many is a partnership together with the Asylum Seeker Centre in Newtown to collect groceries for refugee families in Sydney.
