Beliefs & Vision
May we become more and more a community deeply shaped by the good news of Jesus, holding it out to those around us with confidence, gentleness and joy. Amen.
Newtown Erskineville Anglican Church is a Christian church delighting in the good news that God the Father has sent his Son Jesus Christ to be the Saviour of the world. We hold to this faith as it is expressed in the orthodox creeds and the Anglican Book of Common Prayer. We believe that there is One God, who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, the Saviour of the world and our only hope in life and death. We believe the Bible is the word of God, the final authority in questions of faith and life. We believe that all of this is wonderfully good news, and we would love to share it with you.
We desire and pray to be a church in which:
