Our Venues

Newtown Main Hall

The Newtown Main Hall is centrally located right off Newtown's King Street and is close to public transport options. Perfect size for dance classes, intimate public book readings or celebrations.

Newtown Lower Hall

The Newtown Lower Hall is perfect for your intimate event or small class. These can be flexibly set up with tables or chairs for a meeting, or remain empty for a pilates class.

Erskineville Hall

The Erskineville Hall is perfect light filled space for dance calsses. It can be flexibly set up with chairs and tables for a meeting.

Erskineville Church

The WWII era stain glass windows of Erskineville Church creates a feeling of old world charm. The space was built in 1885 and is perfect for exercise and dance classes.

St Stephen's Church

The historic St Stephens Church was designed by Edmund Blacket and built in 1872. It is a beautiful space, with elegant lighting, fabulous acoustics and original stain glass windows. You can also book for weddings.

Camperdown Cemetery

The Camperdown cemetery is 4 acre walled in graveyard, opened in 1848. At the entrance, there is a  Moreton Bay Fig Tree planted in 1848. The Church grounds are a wonderful venue for photography and other events but are subject to special conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to hire staff for a one off event?

There is a Verger (Staff) fee for access with casual bookings, from $90 per event.

Are any venues wheelchair accessible?

Wheel chair ramps are available at both the Newtown Main hall and St Stephen's

How does the booking process work?

Please apply via the form below or by emailing office@neac.com.au. One of our friendly staff will get in touch with some questions about your booking. Once answered your booking will be processed and you will be issued a license agreement to sign. If you are happy with terms, we will both sign the contract and an invoice will be issued to you, to confirm your booking. Our processing system takes 3-4 days to process and approve bookings.

Can I have alcohol at my event?

We generally do not allow alcohol on site. If you would like alcohol on site, you will need to apply for an exemption.

Can I film at your site?

Filming is approved on a case by case basis. We will require your script for approval.
