READ ROMANS 8:22-25

When do you think Christmas begins? Does it begin in Bethlehem? Or with the Angel Gabriel visiting Mary? Or does it begin with a bright star shining on a little stable? 

The story of Christmas begins long, long ago, before the sky even had stars. It began with God and his rescue plan for all of us. Rescue? From what? The Bible says that we need rescuing from sin, but we decided we didn’t need him; we decided we would be happy without him. We And everything broke—in our hearts and in his world and left us facing a forever death. Sheesh, what a Grinch! Didn’t you get the message about all things merry and bright? But we need to remember this Christmas that this season is not just about waiting for a baby in a manger, but about a Saviour on a cross.

Parents, share the story and Write a letter to someone who was instrumental in your coming to faith. Whether or not you can actually send them that letter, communicate how the Lord used them to change your heart and life.

Create some cards to your lil / liliest / youth church leaders
