In 2024 St. Stephen's Newtown celebrates 150 years. St. Stephen's stands as a testament to architectural brilliance by Edmund Blacket.
More than a place of worship, it embodies the collective history and identity, revered across NSW.
Yet, the restoration needs exceed our means. We seek your support to partner with us in preserving this treasured building for the next 150 years. Your tax-deductible donations, through the National Trust, will ensure the preservation of St. Stephens for future generations.
Alongside donations, we are also actively seeking funding from grants and other funding sources.
Restoration work to the church ceiling is proudly funded by the NSW Government, in association with NEAC, from a Caring for State Heritage Grant.
